Pop music better watch out! Rixton has a plan for world domination, and it’s pretty darn adorable.
Now that their debut album, Let the Road, has officially dropped, the British boy band can start working on the next item on their agenda: recruiting pop princess Ariana Grande for a collaboration. Since the boys have been talking about wanting to work with Grande for some time now, we couldn’t help but ask them to tease what fans can expect if Rixton ever teams up with the queen of the charts when we caught up with them at People’s Ones to Watch party in November.
"If we did [a song] with Ariana, what would it sound like?" Charley Bagnall prompted his bandmates, before answering his own question very confidently. "It would be the best song ever written!"
As for what this no doubt mind-blowing song would actually be about?
"It would be about confessing my deepest love for her," Danny Wilkin suggested. "And it would just be me, crying because she's not mine."
Hopefully they'll find a way to make all of his hysterical sobbing a bit more danceable.
While Wilkin's main goal is to find out if he and Grande could ever make sweet music together outside of the studio, the rest of the band said they were just looking forward to working with a member of the big, Scooter Braun-represented family that they're all a part of.
"We've hung out a few times, and she's lovely. So, we're really quite excited about it," Jake Roche teased.
So are we, boys. So are we.
