Whether they’re commanding 50-foot movie screens or walking the red carpet, it can be hard to imagine our favorite movie stars as anything other than talented and successful. But everyone has to start somewhere in life… even Leonardo DiCaprio.
Thanks to Movie Munchies, we can now see exactly where some of our favorite celebrities’ careers began. The YouTube channel pulled together a supercut of the very first film roles of 10 of the biggest actors in Hollywood, and some of the wonderfully awful costumes they were forced to wear.
Or, in the case of 19-year-old Tom Cruise, the lack thereof.
Want to see a very young DiCaprio save a child from falling into a creepy hole? You’re in luck. How about Jennifer Lawrence playing a teenager from the wrong side of the tracks? Or Ben Stiller rocking an all-white yachting outfit and a creepy smile? They’ve got that too. And if you’ve ever wished that Adam Sandler could somehow speak directly to you, you need only check out his first ever credit, Going Overboard.
It’s actually kind of comforting to know that Chris Pratt has always been exceptionally good at walking down hallways in slow-motion. We hope he brought that scene in for his Star-Lord audition — even under the mullet and muscle tee, it’s clear that he was always meant to be a superhero.
